Your point of contact for this engagement

What this is

A packaged, fixed-scope engagement that gives your organisation a clear, evidence-based view of where your IT asset management practice stands, and a prioritised plan to improve it over the next twelve months.

We interview eight to ten of your stakeholders, assess your current capability, and deliver a roadmap and tailored training plan to close the gaps that matter most.

It is a short, focused exercise, not a protracted consulting engagement. Typically three to four weeks end to end, paced to your team's availability.

Who it's for

IT managers and IT leaders whose organisations:

  • Sense their ITAM practice is uneven but lack the evidence to pinpoint where
  • Are preparing for software audits or vendor renegotiations and want to de-risk
  • Have invested in ITAM tooling and are not yet seeing the return
  • Need a defensible case for ITAM investment to put to leadership
  • Want a baseline before bringing in new tools, processes or people
  • Are building an ITAM function from scratch and want to start from the right place

How we work

The engagement runs in five focused phases. There is no long discovery, no extended workshop programme. It moves as fast as your team's availability allows.

Scope and stakeholder mapping

We agree the brief, identify the right eight to ten interviewees across IT and the business, and brief your team.

Remote stakeholder interviews

Structured one-to-one conversations via Teams or Zoom, each forty-five to sixty minutes, capturing how ITAM is operating today across process, data, governance, tooling and capability.

Maturity assessment

We score your current capability across the core ITAM domains and identify the gaps that matter.

Improvement plan and training plan

A written improvement plan covering current state, key risks, gaps and dependencies, recommended sequencing, and decision points for leadership, paired with a twelve-month training plan built from a capability assessment of your team.

Prioritisation workshop

We facilitate a remote workshop with your stakeholders to present findings, sense-check the conclusions, and agree priorities together. The output is a shared, owned view of the roadmap.

What you receive

  • A written ITAM assessment and improvement plan, covering current state across the core ITAM domains, key risks, gaps and dependencies, recommended sequencing of improvement activity, decision points for leadership, and practical next steps
  • A twelve-month training plan, built from a capability assessment of your team and mapped to the goals surfaced by the assessment
  • An executive summary written for non-ITAM leadership
  • A facilitated remote prioritisation workshop with your stakeholders, with the agreed roadmap as the documented output
  • All artefacts in editable form, so you can take them forward without us

How your organisation benefits

Clarity

You move from a felt sense that ITAM is uneven to an evidenced view of where it actually stands, what is working, and what is not.

Direction

You leave with a prioritised plan, not a wishlist. Sequenced. Sized in effort. Tied to outcomes leadership cares about.

Capability

The training plan addresses the specific gaps your team's assessment surfaces, not a generic curriculum.

Confidence

When you go to leadership for investment, headcount or tooling, you bring evidence. When you face a vendor, you know where you stand.

Speed

A short, focused engagement, not a protracted consulting programme. You do not lose a quarter to discovery.

Our approach

The goal is simple: tangible next steps to improve your ITAM practice over the next twelve months.

We use ISO/IEC 19770-1, the international management system standard for ITAM, as our north star. It tells us what good looks like. The roadmap we produce is yours: your priorities, your context, your sequencing.

This is not an ISO certification, an audit, or a benchmarking exercise. It is a clear-eyed view of where you are and a practical path forward.
