LISA was founded in 2017, originally as part of the ITAM Review, however it became its own entity in 2021 with a clear purpose: to close a critical gap in the market for practical, real-world IT Asset Management (ITAM), Software Asset Management (SAM), and software licensing training.
From the very beginning, we set out to do things differently. Our first course, Practical ITAM, was designed to give professionals new to ITAM, SAM, and licensing a clear, confident understanding of the 12 elements of world-class ITAM. It still is a highly subscribed course that’s practical, applicable, and built for the challenges people actually face at work.
That mindset has never changed.
Today, LISA offers 60+ courses (and growing) across four category disciplines. Our content is shaped by real scenarios, evolving technologies, and the fast-changing realities of IT management. Every course we create is driven by one question:
‘Will this genuinely help someone do their job better?’
We stay proactive, not reactive and constantly look to refresh our courses, so we are always providing the most relevant updates.
Founder
Martin is the founder of LISA. It grew out of The ITAM Review, the independent publication he launched in 2008, which has become one of the profession's most trusted sources of ITAM news, research, and opinion. Across 25 years he's been a consistent voice in advancing the ITAM profession.
🏍️ When not working, Martin can usually be found spending time with his family in the Wiltshire countryside, riding his motorbike, tinkering with his ancient campervan, or planning his next adventure.
Product Manager & Course Leader
Kelly is the Product Manager and a Course Leader at LISA, bringing 15 years of ITAM experience honed through consulting roles at Snow Software and Microsoft.
🎨 Outside of LISA, she's a keen gardener and weekend watercolour painter (with a minor garden centre addiction). Kelly is also a passionate autism advocate who believes in building supportive, inclusive communities.
Finance Manager
Iva is a Finance Manager specialising in end-to-end business operations, finance, billing, and process optimisation. She is detail-oriented, organised and solutions-focused, with strong interpersonal skills and a people-first approach, and builds strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
🌿 Outside work, she enjoys foraging herbs, gardening, and walks with her husband, Yorkie, and three cats.
Global Sales Manager
As Global Sales Manager at LISA Training, Justian Grimes helps organisations develop the knowledge and confidence to reduce licensing risk and maximise the value of their software investments. Before joining LISA Training, he held commercial roles at VerseOne and Tealium, where he worked with organisations to deliver digital and data-driven solutions.
🚵 A proud father of an amazing son, Justian enjoys exploring the trails of the Surrey Hills on his mountain bike and can often be found walking with his energetic cocker spaniel.
Marketing Consultant
Lucy is a Marketing Consultant working with LISA, with over 20 years' experience in integrated B2B marketing, helping organisations build credibility, grow their audience and generate leads.
🏺 Outside of work, she enjoys being creative – most recently attending ceramics classes.
Learning Operations & Insights Lead
As the central point of contact for LMS operations, I bridge technology and learning by managing platform governance, content production, user lifecycle management and credential integration.
